True story....not a cool story bro moment...but true none the less.


Two Florida fans approached me today. Separate and individual of each other. Both apologized. Not for their win. Said they would gladly take that. They apologized for our coaches. Said we had that game won, many times, if not for the coaching. Both people had the exact same 2 questions.

1. Nickel defense, with no safety valve at the end zone? WTF was he thinking?

2. How do you not run your running back inside the 10? Our guys were gassed. We couldn't stop him.

Can we demote Butch to recruiting coordinator? Maybe Saban would hire him? I think were in pretty good shape now if we can just get him out of the way. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting Butch. We'll take it from here.

There is only a handful of kids on that team that aren't Mississippi boys. And those are generally leftovers from what Ole Miss, Bama, and LSU don't want. Mullen coached a less talented team to beat a more talented team. The guy is a good coach.

He seemed calm in the presser too. I'll be honest, I like that. If he got up there with his hair wigged out, eyes blood shot and talking about how he wanted to take a scorched earth approach to everything in the program, I'd say for sure he was finished. I recall Dooley looking completely lost at this point in the 2012 season.

For now, I take the calmness to mean he thinks we have a good team that can still win a lot of ball games if everyone just holds it together.

Saturday was all on him though - plain and simple. We were the better team for the 4th year in a row against Florida, which we haven't been able to say in a long time. It burns me that we only have 1 win in that time...

Difference is we have seen a little from JG and have seen nothing that has shown us he's ready. Dobbs was an unknown.

Lol. I know they have a lot of money, but I don't think any one person has that much power. I also don't think they want to be known for having that much power. It's just not that simple.

Assuming we can't be in dime or quarters because of injuries like he said. Nickel, man to man with 2 safeties over the top, off coverage. CB's back about 10-15 yards and safeties back about 20. This way you keep everything in front, UF would have gone for a 15-25 yard pass. Worse case scenario they kick a 60+ yard FG for the win.

I can see that but folks saying prevent must be forgetting about the FG.
