This might sound odd but after a few days I think butch firmly believes his players lost the game. (I agree with him). I think that is exactly why he took the blame after the game to take the pressure off them. Little did he know Nearly the entire fanbase is blaming him and giving the players a pass. JMO
I saw the impossible. A perennial SEC West bottom feeder manhandle LSU. State didn't have Dak Prescott to do it either. Before last weekend. State beat LSU 1 time in 20 years. There is only a handful of kids on that team that aren't Mississippi boys. And those are generally leftovers from what Ole Miss, Bama, and LSU don't want. Mullen coached a less talented team to beat a more talented team. The guy is a good coach.
I try to avoid watching Jumper but unfortunately, he just appears constantly -- here is my current take: He is playing two hand touch while everyone else is playing tackle. I know we have 3 lbs out but honestly Jumper is just awful with bad angles, bad instincts, bad tackling, poor tackling form, etc. etc. He might be a rocket scientist at getting the defense lined up but he is not an sec linebacker. We may not have anyone better, but Jumper is not an instinctive linebacker and that's not good. You have to be able to shed blocks and flow to the ball and he does neither very well. He is doing great for a walk-on -- he just isn't very good. Nick Revese was a walk-on with really good instincts for a lb. Anyone know why Butuli only played a few plays? My apologies for the misspelling of last names above.
Is Butch Jones trolling us? Sure feels like it. He didn't seem too upset during the minute or two i saw of The B!tch Jones Show.
Im honestly not trying to sound that way. But here is what I do know for a fact: 1. Dormady isn't any good. 2. JG got better as the game went on but looked shaky at first. So did QD btw in his first game. 3. 12 attempts are not enough to know what we have with JG, but again, he got better as the game went on and showed great touch on deep balls. 4. Even if he isn't great yet at passing the football with touch, there wouldn't be much of a drop off from what QD has given us, which isn't much. 5. He can run which in itself brings more to the offense than QD is. 6. Dormady has turned the ball over 5 times so it isn't like he's a safe option anyway.
It was originally supposed to be a pass to get them in FG range. When they saw we were in cover two their WR's went deep. Although it wasn't a designed Hail Mary, the play call was terrible. We should have NEVER been in cover 2 there, but we also shouldn't have been in prevent like some think.
I'm not saying the same outcome will happen, JG isn't the runner Dobbs is, we know that. I'm saying it's hard for me to believe the "JG isn't ready talk" when everyone said the same thing about Dobbs in 2014.
Fire the ****ing Haslams. Hasbeens. Why do they like to be part of ****ty football organizations? Do they do this **** on purpose?
So what would you be in?
Skipped every ******* page of reading just to say this....JFK is the man. Best damn back in the SEC, yet he only gets to play between the ******* 10's!
Bruin be damned. I don't give a sh** about his 15 yd penalty! He ******* gave everything he had on the field. Coach/coaches pi**ed that one away.
Assuming we can't be in dime or quarters because of injuries like he said. Nickel, man to man with 2 safeties over the top, off coverage. CB's back about 10-15 yards and safeties back about 20. This way you keep everything in front, UF would have gone for a 15-25 yard pass. Worse case scenario they kick a 60+ yard FG for the win.
