Withou Dobbs is Butch still here? Dobbs won us a lot of games and bailed Butch out a ton of times. Butch probably doesn't survive year 4 without dobbs. Great players can make coaches look better. Dak proved it was just Mullen who made him good last year.

Handed an amazing player? Dak was a 3 star in Hs. If Dak was his only star QB then I would say ok I'll give you the he got lucky with one guy argument. However when you have churned out Alex Smith and tim Tebow as an OC and then Dak Prescott and Nick Fitzgerald as a HC then your just a dang good QB coach for your system

Because I'm tired of sucking. We can all agree we have the talent to be better, we have some great Football players here at UT and they deserve better even we are all babbling idiots from time to time which I am most of the time.

QD has had more experience than JG. He played in 5 games his FR year and 2 games last year. How do we know how good JG can be? He's only played a few series in one game. Maybe with several games under his belt, he would find a rhythm and bring another dimension to the offense. Or maybe not.

Maybe QD would be better now if he'd played more last year. Hard to get up to game speed idling on the bench.
