I thought their D was very solid. Not as good as last year but one that could give us trouble. That's d kept having to defend a short field against Michigan and held up a long time.

Their two TD drives were both for 75 yards. Michigan did score on defense, but they also missed 2 FG's.

Take out all defensive scores and mistakes, and it's a 26-3 game.

THey are plenty good on D

Florida gives up 33 in regulation to a pretty bad offense with terrible QB play, they are plenty good.

UT gives up 28 in regulation to an offense that consistently gives teams fits and we need to fire Bob Shoop and our defense is awful.

Interesting indeed.

We will beat Florida, but it will be another nail biter. I think CBJ has an purposeful affection for those type of games.

I personally wasn't all that impressed with Florida's D. It wasn't bad by any means but outside of the DL what was impressive? The two pick sixes weren't, they fell into their lap. (The returns were more impressive then the actual interceptions) The linebackers were okay. Michigan ran very well against the DL/LB with the Mich over 200 yards rushing total. Secondary also gave up over 200 yards passing.

It won't be a cakewalk, never is, but this Florida D is average or slightly above average at best, IMO.

Michigan scored some of those points after TOs with the short field. They made big plays and we know they have a knack for winning those type games against us. They are favored in the game for a reason.

I didn't hear the comments yet, what did they say that made you think they weren't on the same page?

Just minor stuff-- some of it related to GT so it won't matter going forward. CBJ said the staff had talked about rotating more guys in and we didn't do that; Shoop said we weren't there yet-- some players aren't ready. Shoop said they had communication issues with the gameplan and had trouble making adjustments quickly in-game. He mentioned trying to get Hoke to not play so far off the line, but they couldn't work that out in-game. There seems to be differing opinions on how far along some players are, in terms of being added to the rotation. Nothing big. Just seemed a bit chaotic, with things to be cleaned up this week.

He couldn't get Hoke to get his 4 guys to get closer to the line of scrimmage???????

All you can do is laugh at that. Wow

We are needing a new leader to step up on the defensive side. It was Kirkland, and it showed with him missing. Who will it be? Bituli, Taylor?

I thought that was one of the worst Florida defenses I've seen in a very long time. Michigan was beating them to the edge over and over. Granted, UF's defense was tired by that point. But they used to be able to withstand long stretches of 3 and outs and quick scoreless possessions by the offense. They could force low-scoring games and win on special teams, a couple of offensive scores generated off 2-3 big plays, and a pick six or clutch turnover.

Lack of depth and bad recruiting is catching up to Mac, like we all said it would.

The Dog Darrell Taylor, that's who! Did you see him firing Kongbo up during a practice drill yesterday?

And some people thought that we would be lucky to score 17 on them and we hung 35 on them in the second half. What is your point, exactly?

My point is they may score 28 and if they do we in trouble

But yea I was wrong last year as I expected low scoring game

Interesting, thanks. Hopefully they got on the same page this weekend and are a well oiled machine going into the swamp.

Kongbo may need to just be moved to DT. He's kinda slow

Because he couldn't run down Marshall? Because he was completely gassed out in the 4th quarter because he played 90 snaps? Let's see if Franks thinks he's slow next week before were ready to shut him down at DE.
