The thing about Florida players is that they are the biggest bunch of front runners I've ever seen. If we let them have a couple of dynamic plays early, it's going to be a long day.

But, if we could somehow go out there and punch them in the f*&^ing mouth early, I think we could put a demoralizing beat-down on them.

As many of us are prone to do...I'll plan for the former, and believe the latter when I see it. But a man can dream, can't he?

But those pick 6s weren't great plays by them, they were gifted to them by WRs tipping balls.

One was an overthrow I think.

UF defense has definitely taken a step back, but they're much better than GT. They'd have picked a couple of QD throws or injured Callaway on a couple of those where he had to fully extend to rescue a terrible throw. But if QD settles down and improves a reasonable amount, and the OL plays well, we should be ok and score plenty enough to win.

I'm thinking Jones is gonna have to split a lot of carries soon between Kelly and Chandler. I'm afraid Kelly is going to get hurt due to his aggressive running style. We need him fresh, and he might be our MVP at the moment

I know all you guys know this by heart but I did the work, updated through GT, so I thought I'd share. We are 17-3 when playing outside the SEC. If we can win 6 SEC games this year we get to 0.500 in SEC play for Butch's tenure. I could go for that.

Yes I agree it isn't a dominating Defesne or at least it wasn't against michigan but it still made big plays. Another thing to consider is how many times their awful o put them on the field. If their O stays on the field longer which they will against Shoop their D is going to play solid against us IMO.

Right but our O deff didn't put our D on the field to much and cause them to get gashed or be tired or anything. Our D also made big plays and guess what, we still won the game. They have a good D, ours is also good. Neither looked to great in the first week. We'll see what they look like the next 2.

The fact that we as a fan base can look at our team and say we suck or this or that and can turn around and make excuses for another team, especially the freaking gators is insane.

Give the Rock to Kelly. have a long sustaining drive that ends in a touchdown on our first possession. They'll be pouting on the sidelines immediately. Then Warrior with a pick six on the next series to go up 14-0 would be really nice.

GT's secondary is legit. It's one of the most experienced position groups in all of CFB. Every starting DB is a senior except one, he's a JR. Every 2nd stringer is a senior except for 2, one Jr and one Fr. Tech fans, players and coaches are expecting a great year from their secondary. I'll take UF's front 7 though.

My point is they may score 28 and if they do we in trouble

But yea I was wrong last year as I expected low scoring game

Unless their mediocre defense scores or they get a kick return, they aren't scoring 28. GT scored 28 and I can say definitively that the GT offense is much better than the gators.

I thought that was one of the worst Florida defenses I've seen in a very long time. Michigan was beating them to the edge over and over. Granted, UF's defense was tired by that point. But they used to be able to withstand long stretches of 3 and outs and quick scoreless possessions by the offense. They could force low-scoring games and win on special teams, a couple of offensive scores generated off 2-3 big plays, and a pick six or clutch turnover.

Lack of depth and bad recruiting is catching up to Mac, like we all said it would.

Was Florida gassed on the 200 yards and 2 touchdown drives they gave up (1negated by phantom call) in first half?

I saw a Michigan team that pulled off the gas when they realized Florida couldn't score offensive points.

Michigan did not take off the gas lol. They were still throwing deep with 5 minutes left. Harbaugh doesn't take his foot off anyways. Stop it.

Because he couldn't run down Marshall? Because he was completely gassed out in the 4th quarter because he played 90 snaps? Let's see if Franks thinks he's slow next week before were ready to shut him down at DE.

I'm on the fence about this. It will all play out but he looks a little stiff to me for a DE. I thought Vereen did also, I'm sure many disagree.

Didn't see it, but that is good to hear!

They're better than what most people on here think IMO. They're not on the same level as they have been the last few seasons but it's still a decent SEC defense. Will be better than the defense we saw Monday night.
