I remember traveling to Cincy and watched the Braves and Reds a few years back and I was yelling at Wren that he was horrible and needed to quit. Funny moment for us all as we were at Grand America Park.

Most Braves fans and baseball fans in general do not look at it as much in depth. Not a knock on their fandom. It is like most Vol fans are not on VN. Doesn't make them less a fan just not as crazy as some of us. LOL :)

No worries man. I will admit that I do not follow the whole organization… I just don't have time to do it. I love Tennessee football a lot more, so that is the one thing that I enjoy following in depth. The rest of my free time is given to more important things.

I grew up in the ATL and my first game was in 1969 so it has been a passion since before my first football game which I went to in 1975. Love it all but do follow baseball and football pretty closely but family beats both all day. Fun to be sharing love for the Braves and Vols with my son. Those are the best memories. I was at Fulton County when we won it all in 95 for game six. Sitting way up in the upper deck in left center field when Marquis grabbed the ball for the final out. Will never forget it. Also will never forget watching Manning play or beating Florida last year. All good times.

If they would have finished last night and then today, they would have had a chance to sweep tmrw, which would have put them 5.5 games back at the break. Could have gone and gotten a closer and made a run to the playoffs.

Is that from the wild card? If it is they should have a legit chance

No. First place in East. Wild card is probably similar. If Johnson didn't blow the 9th last night, they are 6.5 back right now with a chance to sweep Washington tomorrow and be 5.5 back. If they had a closer, I think they could give Washington all they can handle to win the East, because Washington's bullpen is horrible.

Really don't think it's worth it for the braves to try to make a trade before the deadline. Even with a stud closer I don't think the pitching is there to actually make a run in the playoffs yet. Better to save prospects and wait until the offseason when the price is more reasonable

If we're going to make trades, we don't have to trade prospects. There are teams that are playoff contenders that may want Phillips, Markakis, Adams or Kemp. May be able to get something for them

OK thanks I haven't been following closely this year and all I knew was they are in the running for a playoff birth if they keep this up

Completely agree. I understand the fire sale but Freeman and Kimbrel both should have been kept for the foundation of the rebuild.
