Tennessee heads south this week to face Alabama on the 3rd Saturday, which is actually the 4th, but it doesn't matter.... it's Bama week. Dust off your Gauldens, because you will need them both.

Keys to Victory:

1. Full Strength: No team is ever truly at full strength in football, with injuries and fatigue taking a collective toll from Day 1 of fall practice. Tennessee is really hurting on the OL, RB, and QB. If they are to have a shot against Bama, we need to see Cooper return to action in a meaningful way, Tiyon Evans ready to play a full game, and Hendon Hooker to be able to at least be a threat to pick up some yardage when needed. We really need Cade too, but that is looking unlikely.

2. Dink, Dunk, Funk: With the health of the OL being what it is, look for Heupel to make use of quick screens and slants to keep the QB clean. It is imperative that we keep Bama from jumping the routes and taking it the other way for 6. If Tennessee can be effective there, look for the set-up for some funk to Payton or Hyatt with the long ball, but the pocket has to hold up.

3. Score more Points: I'm out of time y'all. There is a lot of digging to find more keys to victory but I just don't have the time for it this week. Feel free to let the debate.

Prediction: Valiant effort, but not enough depth to keep up. If Tennessee can play healthy, they will hang around and be in the ballpark, but probably not truly threaten after the first quarter.

I’ll be super excited about ending the streak on our field in Heupels second year.

But we have no chance this season.

I bet Bama puts up 35-38. 38-28 sounds more like it. Which, isnt a blow out.

Unfortunately, when we win this weekend, Bama fans will more than likely add more murders to their numbers. Then everyone will see they truly are the worst fanbase in the history of fanbases.
