Eric/Freak, in the spring there were requests for improvements to this forum and I know there's been some experiments, but I've finally got one I'd really like to see---

a stickied, searchable database of non-offer prospect threads. I couldn't remember the name of a kid who was camping to earn an offer and I had to go back 11 pages to find his name. if we had a directory organized by state and projected position, it'd be much easier to find old threads on guys who were sleepers, TN prospects, or guys believed to be on the cusp of an offer (who fade away and then become hot topics 6 months later).

since the forum only goes back 13 pages, I'm sure there are already several threads on guys who will resurface later in the year.

also merging some threads or shifting some general stuff to the Pub would help. there are several prediction threads, general questions that could possibly be merged/moved to make the recruiting forum less cluttered.

Not a bad idea. I like it. Eric has been keeping this place pretty clean when he's not working as far as the off topic stuff. He's just at work in the middle part of the day and can't get to it. Just report the post though and it will get moved. Eventually the prospect threads will be separate from the general recruiting threads. May not happen this year though.

Thanks for the insight TennesseeJack. It just becomes an issue of someone having to maintain the list. A good idea though.

As for the 13 pages, the forum is set to show only the past two months. While in the recruiting forum, if you scroll to the bottom and look under 'display options' you can change that to whatever you would like. It defaults to two months.

Another suggestion, while we're in the giving mood, is to make the posts in the recruiting forum post in reverse order, so that the newest post is first instead of having to scroll to page 117 to see the newest post. Reverse order.

Do you know about the 'first new posts' button? That's your best bet. Making the threads display in reverse order would be like reading a book backwards. You would see the responses before the questions. :)

Also if you could get more of the recruits we're discussing to commit and eventually sign, that would be great.
