I want him fired regardless but Jones would have done himself a favor had he handled some of this like Mcelwain did today. He came out and said they he knows he hasn't accomplished what he was brought here to do. He said they've won some games, but championships are expected here and we haven't done that. Went on to say how UF was a dream job. Instead of that, Jones would rather pass the buck on his players and tell us all how he's led this program to three consecutive bowl championships. Something that hasn't been done around here in a long, long time. I could go on and on.

He lives in his own little fantasy land. He's Bagdad Bob.

Not yet. I really don't think they planned on tonight.

Needs approval. Fall meeting is this week, and the full board will be there then. They could teleconference voting members tomorrow... or wait to bring it to the table. IDK what they'll do, but it was shortsighted to underestimate how fed up this fanbase is with the current situation.

Just looked and the meeting is Thursday and Friday. Seems to me the could schedule a call for tomorrow with the contingency to fire him tomorrow (with Currie's recommdation due to practice time) and add the financial side of it to the meeting agenda.

Am I wrong to say literally NO other SEC Coach other than maybe Vanderbilt would allow a 0-5 SEC and 3-5 overall team in YEAR 5 to continue?

It's absolutely incredible.

I am so done with this. GOVOLS247 Rucker, Callahan etc say they will be surprised if it isn't over on Sunday.

Anyone who thinks this hasn't already happened is delusional

Weekly scorecard update - we are down to 0.500 in the SEC East for the last 5 years and of course we're still at 0.000 against the West over the last 5 years.

Bama, UF, UGA, Auburn, A&M, and LSU would have already fired him. I'd guess that they would have probably fired him after last year. This program should be boycotted until a change is made. And if we hire another wikepedia special, it should be boycotted until we actually do something noteworthy on the field.

I normally am a big VQ supporter, but it seems like other sites have broke most of the last couple of weeks news so idk if it will come from there.

I can't renew if they don't fire him and I do not think I will ever buy again. I am done with this University if they keep this crapper of a show. I hope Currie has explosive craparia if he doesn't fire that piece of crap. I used to say shake his hand and thank him for what he's done and move along. But if he is not fired this weekend or he resigns then I will no longer respect him for what he is doing. Just a selfish carpetbagger who is a band player who went to Ferris Wheel State. What a joke!

Right. Some big names are in town for Homecoming, and they'll have a lot to say. UT could move forward and fire him sometime this weekend or Monday-- and like many, I think we should. If he's fired, there's unlikely to be much negotiation of buyout-- we owe it; we pay it per the terms of the contract.

It may not be on the meeting agenda. If attorneys are involved in the discussion, they can close-door that part of the meeting and not disclose the full proceedings.

Does it really matter if it's tomorrow or Monday? As long as it's this week I don't care what exact day.

Yes. Perception matters so people aren’t already expecting the next guy to fail or the AD to be permanently inept. Currie needs to leak it tonight and have the presser tomorrow.
