Observational ... I would say we are not really making up much ground in overall talent ... excluding 2023.
Perhaps we are recruiting extremely well for our system.
And our system up to this point has been far superior to most of our opposition and gives us a distinct advantage.
We will still struggle with the big boys and have to continue to out scheme them.
@LWSVOL ... your thoughts?

no doubt of that. Alabama signed one 3 star (a kicker if I recall correctly) and the rest are 5 star (7 of those) and 4 stars.

If you look at the attrition numbers, I don't feel recruiting is as critical any longer as getting the appropriate portal players. Those numbers are astronomical for many, many schools. The really good teams are not having to dip into the portal as strongly as others yet but they will. They are starting to lose more players via the portal and can't keep up roster sizes with taking portal players. Check out some numbers on that.

As far as Tennessee goes, I am not seeing anyone that I am upset about transferring. Other teams feel the same way?

Agree. Think in the "big middle"...KY, SC, TaM, UF, etc we need our YoY increase in talent + scheme to give us consistent W's...and continue to have upwards trajectory. If we have another year or two of upwards movement, then I think our build can look a bit like Clemson, where they got their QBs right and then built their talent positions and Defense at a high level.
