There is alot of talk of over signing. Could that mean folks like Pope could be placed on another type of scholarship ie medical to make room for other slots? I know this was done years ago and wondering if it will be done now.

I dont know but he could be told that he wont get any playing time and transfering is his best option for his future.

Either way they can still only sign the same amount this year.

Pope situation wont affect that.

Only affects the total players we can have.

I know we are normally only allowed to sign 25 plus any we can backcount and greyshirt 3. Did we have any left from last year or is 25 our limit this year? I said back at the beginning of the season when all the whining was going on about signing all those 3 stars I thought Dooley was over-offering and would end up in a crunch at the end. What is the general consensus on this situation? Will Dooley ask some guys to look elsewhere if he has some higher rated players interested?

upper classmen wont be affected from oversigning. We were severely under our 85 overall allotment for schollys. The oversigning only affects that particular class. Like the previous post we can sign up to 28 and 3 will be back counted as last class through gray shirting.
