I realize there are a lot of people that will want to lecture me about the insignifigance of "stars" when referring to a recruits rank. That being said, do any of the recruiting guru's have any idea which 5 star recruits are in play and which ones we have the best chances of landing?
Slim (2-10%):
Ronald Powell
Lamarcus Joyner
Jeff Luc
JR Ferguson
Good chance:
none
So-So (20-30%):
Kyle Prater
Slim (2-10%):
Ronald Powell
Lamarcus Joyner
Jeff Luc
JR Ferguson
Practically None (1% or less)
Lache Seastrunk
Michael Dyer

Not a guru but these percentages seem quite wrong. You must concede that with Kiffins hire you would have had Bryce Brown in the Practically None column.
I think Seastrunk goes to LSU,
I think Joyner is a lock to FSU,
I think we could get Luc but I say it is much less likely than not,
I think we have a really good chance on Ferguson, I think we have a great shot at Powell especially after we whup UCLA,
and I think Kyle Prater may or may not come. His dad loves our coaches and wants us (good friends with Fultons dad) but Ambles and Milton provide more competition at that position and he could be the Julio Jones of Illinois. I think Zooker is going to pull out a surprise there. If Cobbs comes here we do not need him anyway. Ambles could get a 5th star also.
Smith probably won't end up a 5* just due to the fact he's shut his recruitment down, didn't really go to a ton of camps, and won't play the best competition. So even if he ends up being a 5* type talent, he won't have that ranking.
