every year 10 of the top 25 rivals classes are SEC schools with vandy and one of the mississippi schools on the outside. who knows how this class would have closed, but right now and last year to be only top 10ish is simply expected, not exceptional. boise st tcu or cincy would have beat us this year with a bunch of unheralded recruits
tennessee and the SEC sells itself. there are only so many players to go around. we will be fine. what really matters is what the coaches do to make them better and to win the x's and o's. a lot is to be said for a good gameday coach and the jury is still out on lanes ability there.
am i happy this happened? no. not at all we all like attention, and the program was getting lots of it. it was cool seeing us in the national news so much. was the train building steam? or would the stepped on feet come back to kick us asquare in the butt? we'll never know
