Can recruits be given t shirts, sweats or any official gear on official or unofficial visits and not be a violation?

Do recruits make mid week visits?

My thought is no, which is why people get excited when a recruit is wearing their teams gear around campus. I might be wrong though.

Recruits can take or make OV during weekdays. 48 hour rule still applies. Some recruits do usually around the MLK Birthday Holiday in January

No goodies to take home. That's one of the stupid rules that makes recruiting so tough to stay within the rules. If some kid with no $ comes in and says, "I love this place. I'm going to sign. Can I have a cap to take back and show my Mom?" The rules say you can't give him a cap (or anything). It is stupid and is one of the rules that should be changed to reflect reality.
