TE Kyle Rudoplh
OT Stephen Good
DT DeAngelo Tyson
DT Omar Hunter
OT Mike Adams

Nope. UT was never really high on any of their lists except for Rudolph and he wanted to commit early and we didn't push like ND.

i can't speak for Good or Tyson, but i can tell you right now:

Mike Adams will not leave OSU. he goes to Dublin Coffman, which is, for all intents and purposes, like Farragut is to Knoxville. The are basically sharing borders. His school is a noted pipeline to OSU, and he has been a major recruiter for the buckeyes, hosting other recruits and making efforts to get others to commit to OSU. he's solid.

Kyle Rudolph and Omar Hunter are solid locks to ND for a few reasons. #1 is the new "Mack Brown" policy that ND took over... get commits early and secure them. It's stressed to the recruit that if he is even thinking about wavering and is not 100% sure, then Weis won't let him commit. Secondly, Weis is known for developing and using TE's, and Rudolph will flourish in that system (where their #1 TE caught like 40+ passes last year in just 9 games). Omar Hunter was considered by many to be a lock to Michigan. He grew up a UM fan, and visited ND on the way back from what he was considering his final visit to UM, but he was so impressed that he committed to ND instead of UM, pulling the huge upset. He was their #1 target for the NT position, and they are razor thin on the DLine... he is looking at playing time from the start.

as far as Good goes... this is just a guess: he's a kid from TX who committed to OU... and it's always darn near impossible to get the elite TX talent to leave TX or Oklahoma. i seriously doubt he would renege and choose UT.

I don't know enough about Tyson, because he committed to UGA before i had the chance to start following him.

The only one would be Rudolph if we had a TE have a monster year and they put some pressure on him. There was a poster on another board who lives in his neighborhood who had been talking about him for 2 years and how big a Vol fan he was.

i'm going to disagree with you. right now, ND is about as close to TE U as anyone. it's hard to compete with #1) a team that has TE's catching upward of 5 balls a game and #2) a team that has such an incredible recent acumen for excellent TE's.

I think Brown and Cottam will be our go to guys adn they are both leaving, so Fulmer could pull a trick out of the hat. Tyson was down to UGA/Tenn if I am not mistaken, that one hurt. Rivals says Hunter was down to Tenn/ND.

Hunter was down to Mich and ND. He seemed high on us early but we faded out. Tyson never really considered anyone other than UGA.

If Notre Dame struggles and has 5-6 losses and we win 10-11 maybe an SEC title and a BCS bowl and we lose 2 TE's that have incredible years do we still not have a chance? If he grew up a Vol fan, it is hard to mess with the heart of a Volunteer.

I guess I should no be worrying about TE is Warren is coming. That would be an awesome combo of Warren/Rudolph.

We also have Douglas committed. He may be TE or OT, depends on the OL class we bring in. I'm not sure if Rudolph is an early enrollee, but he may be. Either way, I really doubt he flips on his commitment.

no word yet on whether or not Rudolph plans to EE. i think everyone pretty much expects ND to have 5 or 6 losses.... he had to have known that when he committed.

I think there is a slim chance Notre Dame gets only 3-4 wins but it could happen. There are 9 teams in the SEC better than Notre Dame:
1. LSU
2. Tennessee
3. Florida
4. Georgia
5. Auburn
6. South Carolina
7. Arkansas
8. Kentucky
9. Alabama
10. Notre Dame
11. Vanderbilt
12. Mississippi
13. Mississippi State

why does everyone think ND is gonna get so many lsoes? are they just not good this year?

they lost their all-everything QB, their two starting WR's, and their only RB who ever got any meaningful playing time in the last 2 years. they only return like 7 or 8 starters...

their schedule is incredibly front-loaded, and their D is still suspect (even with a new DC and new scheme).

Notre Dame lost everything from an overrated team. Who will be their QB? Who will be their RB? Do they have any WR's that can make an impact? Their O-line may be the onl y thing that sames them from being putrid on offense. Their defense will be, well Notre dame. They have no solid interior lineman, Linebackers are below SEC standards and the secondary is led by Zbikowski. They have no speed whatsoever and they have no athletes. They will be awful and ESPN will talk about them all year. :bad:
