I may be mistaken but the majority of last years signees were redshirted. Bolden, Briscoe, Rodgers, and Morley all played. Todd Cox I believe had to go to a JC. I think Hardesty was able to redshirt after his knee injury. If anyone knows of any other freshman that didn't redshirt please put their name on here. If we can get a list of the redshirts I think it will go a long way toward erasing everyone's fears about the recruiting class for this year.

Then who will be our ace in the hole for 2007? We are just completing our first revolution on the downward spiral I fear.

Let me guess. You are a "The glass is half empty" kind of guy. This is not the end. Be positive.

I'm no hater, beleive me I want to see a full glass but I have to call 'em like I see 'em. I would not be so worried about our recruiting if UF, UGA and Bama (all teams that we play every year) were not punching our lights out in the recruiting war.

If a lot of the guys from last years class were redshirted then they will have a year in college under their belt and 4 years of eligibility left.

They don't every year. Some years will be better then others. Just watch. Our recruiting class will look better in January.

I hope so and I am relatively sure that we will get some decent kids that are not yet committed to UT. BTW is the hohen for Hohenwald?

Nope. It is for Hohenfels, Germany. Father was in the Army.

Don't forget that the player we lost to the clearing house (Gerald Williams) will be joining the team next season. That is correct right? The coaches seemed very excited about his potential. And, Mapu will be back on campus next season. Our Junior College stud at DE redshirted his first season in JC, so he still has 3 years of eligibility instead of 2.

And, as far as the redshirt list goes I have a couple questions. I have no idea for sure, just curious about a couple names. Coker should be on that list, right? And, when did Vladimir Richard, Antonio Wardlow, and Adam Myers-White play?

On a side note, (I put very little stock in star-ratings on recruiting sites) the LB out of Iowa is someone to be excited about. His "star-rating" would have been much higher but he had grade issues. That was what kept many schools away. He is going to be a player!

You mean we could have had a Smelley-Shelley combo? I guess we'll just have to deal with a Smelley-Cock issue from Spurrier.

All of those guys have had a year in the weight room. And a year eating at the training table. I would love to see some up to date heights and weights on these guys. I'm read a thread on here somewhere that said Meyers-White did not redshirt. I hope he did though. I can not wait to see what Raymond Henderson, Wes Brown, and Josh McNeil look like in the spring.

Oh yeah, and I fogot to mention that our OL Myers that went to Hargrave as a mid-level recruit is going to return as a big-time recruit. He has put on muscle, shed fat, and shown a great work ethic.

Now 67 don't go putting facts and logic in your posts! The end of the world crowd out there will not like it much.

Actually very good point. There are some awsome kids on that list of redshirts.

That was the whole point of the thread beef. I wanted to show the doom and gloom guys that there is a lot of untapped talent on the team that WILL have an impact next season.
