KNOXVILLE - Former Lady Vols basketball player Dominique Redding is charged with simple assault after she became agitated while trying to pick up some of her personal property at an acquaintance's apartment, according to a Knox County Sheriff's Office report.

Seemed pretty minor for an assault charge.

Redding told officers she "pushed past" Powe, striking Powe with her shoulder in the process. The police report stated Powe did not have any apparent injuries and declined medical treatment.

Regardless, aside from Brittany Jackson, it's not often you see a Lady Vol in trouble. :)

Well, I do know that Alexis Hornbuckle shoplifted from a Wal-Mart in high school.

But seriously, it's pretty rare to find a story about a LV getting in trouble with the law, and it's never for anything too bad when it does happen.

This is stupid, The police wouldnt normally press something like this so that means this acquaintance had to push wanting the press charges for a shoulder bump, what a little wuss. Especially if, indeed, it is a dude. Can't let a lady in to get her stuff, you gotta be a balla, and call the cops.

This. And I agree, it doesn't seem like something where charges would be filed.

Yea, that's true, might not be a dude. Dang, I just imagined to 6'5" female ball players, all huge and muscular, making out. that's just wrong, :yikes:

Cheer leaders, think cheer leaders and dance team... ahhh, relief.
