In case you have not seen it on the wire, the Reds traded Willy Mo Pena to Boston for Bronson Arroyo.

The Reds now have the greatest starting five known to man!

From what I hear the Reds are going to bring back Pete Schourek, Pete Harnisch and Mark Portugal to round out their bullpen!

Why do I have to be a Reds fan!

Willy was a good ball player for cinci last year and i think that ball park will destro bronson but hey you got to have pitching and he is a good number 2 or 3 starter

The value for Willy Mo Pena had to be greater than a 4th or 5th starter. We all know the reason we picked up Arroyo over Clement was salary.

Yes I know, you can argue that Clement is damaged goods, but come on!

The Reds have the most abysmal front office in MLB.

It is akin to the Bengals from office before Marvin Lewis wrestled some power away from SOP aka Son of Paul Brown "Step Down Mike Brown".

It's impossible to judge Castellini and Krivsky yet. Also, I have a sneaky suspicion that WMP is Spanish for Rob Deer.

Willy Mo can hit a fastball and that is about it. His numbers outside Cincy are not likely to continue the same trend until he becomes a more complete hitter. Rob Deer may be an apt comparison or perhaps Dave Kingman.

this pitching staff did just go from shaky to umm... less shaky. hey at least we are loaded with 4 number 4 starters and a 3 rather than a bunch of long relief and a 4 this year. here's to hoping griff hits 80 out the park this year

GO REDS!

Please do not get me wrong I am happy with Arroyo, but in my mind I thought the Reds could have come out with a little more.

Willy Mo Pena is a free swinger and needs at bats to improve his hitting ability.

Will he get those at bats being a platoon player in Boston?

I am in no way a baseball gm, but I think the Reds could have done better than Arroyo.
