Okay....here's a question. (Oh, and sorry if this is in the wrong forum.....)


With the WR's we have on the roster.....

Bigney, Josh WR 6-4 180 Fr
Edgmon, Sam WR 6-1 210 Fr
Green, James WR 6-2 190 Fr
Rogers, Zach WR 6-2 170 Fr
Courtney, Geoff WR 6-1 180 Jr
Jones, Gerald WR 6-0 199 Jr
Moore, Denarius WR 6-1 190 Jr
Warren, Brandon WR 6-2 216 Jr
Campbell, Todd WR 6-0 186 So


I know that some of these guys will never see the field except on ST. However, we have these guys coming in (sorry if I miss anyone, please feel free to update, this is from Scout)

And if we get Da'Rick Rogers and by some fluke Kyle Prater.......who redshirts, if anyone?? And how unbelievably SICK is our WR corps going to be in 2011 and 2012??

James Green never made it to campus. Brandon Warren is no longer with the team, although there are rumors of a possible return.

As for your question i think Milton will redshirt. I think he'll be the only one though.

james green is going to UM of north,brandon warren is gone,who is josh bigney?who is sam edgom?geoff courtney?? todd campbell might get 1min in a game

No one redhirts until the end of next season. You might want to update your roster. Very sick WR class if we get either Rogers or Prater.

Added Austin and Marsalis and took out those that are either off the team, not getting in, or really don't stand a chance of contributing...

you never know how things are going to develop at camp but I would think Milton would have to redshirt if we get either. not to say he's not ready to play at the college level and couldn't contribute, but it would be a waste if he didn't. in any case, it's a good problem to have!

what a wonderful problem to have. or at least consider if things go heavily our way between now and NSD

The one thing Milton has going for him is that he is already on campus and has gotten in some practice time. I think that bodes well for him playing this year

courtney, campbell, edgmon, bigney are irrelavent. warren and green arent here. even if we dont get rodgers or prater; teague and the rogers brothers(if austin gets his 12th year) are not talented enough to get on the field with ambles, moore, jones and thompkins. i would love to see teague moved to the defensive side of the ball. I dont see them redshirting anyone. you dont redshirt people who arent hurt or arent freshmen that you value and want to develop. i can see milton maybe but our depth isnt good enough at the position and hes the only tall reciever we have and can maybe be a redzone weapon right away. probably not going to be strong enough though.

What rumors are you hearing? I seriously doubt Lane would give Warren another shot...

Yea, and I think he will be a stud...in fact I like him better than Thompkins, but there isn't much value in redshirting Thompkins unless he just isn't ready or gets hurt because he only has 3 years to play 2. Ambles is clearly ready to contribute early and may already be better than any wr we have on currently have on campus from what I have seen as of late. while I haven't seen as much of Prater, consensus seems to be that he is better than Ambles in many regards.
