Actually, he hasnt impressed me much in Cup either. He has had several good Busch runs, and he used to be a real gritty driver in Busch. I like that about him.

w/ the crap he's driving now he hasn't been able to reach his full potential

yeah he has had some crap equipment. maybe this is his chance. not real sure everenham equipment is top notch tho. better than what he is in now fo sure.

I thought Reed would be the next big thing when he came out of the Busch Series. He's since steadily decreased each season and has became a major disappointment. He's been in awful equipment so we'll see how he does next season.

I think the jury is out on him still but at least he'll be in a bit better equipment next year. I hate it for Patrick though - I think he really got a raw deal. Last week was truly the first race he had missed all year in regular qualifying. He missed the Daytona 500 but it has a different format and he missed 2-3 other early races due to rainouts. For Patrick's first year in ANY kind of stock car he has done a great job IMO.

This is almost as tragic as what looks like might happen to AJ Allmendinger. With Red Bull still not telling him if he's coming back next year I'm inclined to believe they will just dump him for Scott Speed instead of running 3 teams.

It's a shame that Carpentier gets the shaft at GEM. He has made significant progress there since the beginning of the season.
