re Vol supporters expectations too high. do the so-call pollsters who make the preseason polls do more harm than good?

And finally, do the players buy into the preseason hype and expect the opposition to roll over because it's Tennessee?

I personally think (at least hope) that this year is just a fluke and the Vols will be back, stronger than ever. In retrospect, this season has taught me a lesson and I hope it has many of you, too. In the future, I will savor every win, will keep my expectations at a realistic level, and will be euphoric only if they exceed my expectations. This means winning the SEC and getting a BCS bowl next year or the following.

I learned my lesson in 2002 about trusting preseason hype.

Those kind've things never apply to the Lady Vols.

Have you ever seen a pic of Summit mad?!

She's probably got the only kid in America that whenever he screwed up used to crawl under his bed and pray that the Boogie Man would come get him.

the team's ranking wasn't to high, we are just poorly coached. when you have the kind of coaching we have you can't expect to win the sec it's not going to happen. it won't happen as long as fulmer is around. the team is stacked, but we need coaches to mold the talent it is not going to happen with this regime

Yup, I think even the boogie man would rather stay under the bed than to come out and confront Coach Summitt. :mf_surrender:
