Reggie White passed away this morning from a massive heart attack. He was 43 years old. Just thought that I would put this out there for those of you who haven't heard. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

WOW I'm in shock. I never would've thought he would be passing away at such a young age.

I'm totally devistated. Reggie is my favorite Vol of all time. He was a truly great person, and will be missed. My prayers are with the White family.

One of the greatest Vols ever to lace up the cleats- this truly is a sad day

Reggie White was the best DL I ever got to watch, and possibly the greatest of all-time.

Reggie White is a definitely a terrible loss. I also heard that some Vandy player (don't recall who) got shot to death today also.

Their starting running back was shot to death in his car.

Bruce Smith has the record now with 200 sacks after playing about 3 more years than he shouldve just to get the record, but if Reggie hadnt played 2 years in the USFL and then retired for a year before coming back to the NFL as a Carolina Panther, Smith would've never been able to play long enough to get it.

Reggie played when I was in school at UT. I worked in the communications/student services building which is right next to the stadium. Players often walked back to the dorms through the back parking lot of the building. One day I was dumping some trash and the sun was blotted out like an eclipse. I looked up and it was Reggie White and Mike Cofer walking by. They were HUGE!

I also remember the story where he sacked Boomer E. in the SunBowl? and broke Boomer's collarbone. Boomer said he was expecting the helping hand up and the "God bless you" that comes with it. For some reason, Reggie didn't give him one. (I'm probably messing up the story but it's something like that).

RIP to a great Vol and greater person. Prayers to his family and friends.
