The host team has choice about playing afternoon or evening game.

Most host teams normally choose the evening prime time slot but every year I noticed more and more chose early afternoon. This year I notice most have now chosen the early game .

I wonder what the thought process is. Friday at noon, 1:00 or 2:00 is not very fan friendly for fans with jobs and may be quite hot in many places.

On day#2 the loser bracket game is always the early afternoon game. Is the home team trying to avoid the quick turnaround should the 4-seed upset them? Do they want the extra few hours to prep for the late Saturday game?

Tennessee opted for the late game: 6pm Friday. When Vols win; they play at 6pm Saturday. Should they lose; they play in elimination game Saturday at noon.

Sorry to confuse you with the thread.

Whew! You had me nervous! I had tickets for both sessions Saturday but can’t go, so another guy at work had Friday night tickets but couldn’t go. We swapped tickets this morning. I was about to blow a fuse!!

I spoke to a big Ole Miss fan today, and he said the OM boards were all over the MSU national seed and their regional. Did not realize that John Cohen was on the committee. I know AD's of that school leave the room when discussing the school. In another forum, it was brought up that MSU's attendance really plays into decisions, and they will get the nod when they can generate 12,000 fans.

The main problem at Ole Miss and Swayze field is it's filled with Ole Miss fans

And it also helps that MSU beat the bejeebies out of Ole Miss

Being in Memphis, I have friends from both. I like to beat both and brag about it.

While there is no conspiracy theory, I do think MSU got a rather easy draw...especially after ending the season losing a series to Mizzou and getting beat by 2 run-rules.

I’m fine with it. Let em get to Omaha and we’ll run rule them again. More beer for us
