Financial reform requires 24 million hours a year | financial, requires, congress - Congress - The Orange County Register
With 200 more regulations to come.
I wonder how many hours government employees will be using to review the filings, knowing government workers, I'd guess at least 48 million.
The picture above is of a meeting of the senate budget committee. The empty seats are all the democrats on the committee, those seated are all republicans.
The democrats, who havn't passed a budget for an unprecedented three years won't allow a committee vote on any budget nor will any budget proposal to be brought up for a vote before the senate as long as they are the majority party, which will come to a screeching halt in November and a few rinos are going to be given their walking papers also.
As a matter of fact senate democrats have stated publicly that there is no need for a budget anymore, they can pass funding measures piecemeal with the ever present threat of shutting down the government it the republicans don't go along with them.
Methinks the democrats have confused themselves with the politboro.
The Dud/Fwank bill, supposedly to keep consumers from being ripped off, looks to me like they don't want any private competition in the ripoff department, government should have monopoly rights when it comes to ripping off the American public.
But hey, as long as I get a healthy lunch who cares?
Financial businesses from banks to investment advisers will spend 24 million hours a year to comply with the first 185 regulations to implement the Dodd Frank Act, according to the House of Representatives' Financial Services Committee.
