Anyone who was a fan of peak-era R.E.M. will definitily like their new album. It's not Automatic for the People, or Lifes Rich Pageant, but it's pretty good. Best track is "Uberlin", but there are about a half dozen really great sounding REM vintage-style songs on the album.

Sound quality is poor here, but you can tell how good this song will be:

"Hey kids, rock and roll, nobody tells you where to go, baby. What if I ride? What if you walk? What if rock around the clock..."

Just downloaded the album today. I've only listened to it in the background of my day but there are a couple of songs I've hit replay on.

Uberlin reminds me of Drive the way it starts out. It is a good song. I also like Oh My Heart, but I probably won't in a week or so.

I got on board in 1989 with the Green album. I can't listen to Out of Time anymore without getting nostalgic for my last year in high school and missing my ol high school buddies.

Haven't really cared for much of their latest junk. Adventures in Hi-Fi was nice. Up was so-so. It blurs together after that.

That was enjoyable. My brothers were huge REM fans growing up so I was exposed to them early on. Enjoyed their albums ever since, sans the newer stuff.

Thanks for sharing that.
