100 Days of Vols #69 - Peyton Manning's Fake Sneak - Rocky Top Talk

The fake sneak.

One of Manning's finest moments while in Orange.

The play that I like alot is the one in which South Carolina was playing us at home. We were around the 20 yard line. We set up for a kick, but the holder, whose name is Price, runs in for a t.d.

It was great because the expression on the USC coaches face was jaw dropping and also that wsa the only significant play that Price ever made in his career.
Price was absolutely happy about his play.

That didn't look intentional to me....

Nice play, though. Good awareness by Peyton and his receivers.

Never mind, I don't think the author meant to imply it was intentional. The conversation he was quoting was after the play. No, I don't remember this play in particular, although it seems pretty memorable. I was young.

I was working nights at the time and this was before DVR.

I'd never seen that play. Thanks for posting.

I was sitting in that endzone during that game. We were going nuts.

I remember a similar play at SC in 06' being called that got Ainge's ankle shredded....along with a serious chance at a BCS bowl.

It's funny to look back at the brilliance of the play when it worked, but the pure ridicule the coaches received for basically the same call when it went against us (by me included).

This one wasn't intentional. If it were intentional, it would have been a ridiculously stupid play call.

It was from the 15 and his name was Jason Price. We went to the same high school. He was a few years behind me.
