Am looking forward to a resurgence of the spirit and enthusiasm at the AU game like we had at UGA and SC. These kind of posts are a help to that cause and not a hindrance. GBO and Its great to be a Tennessee VOL.

Great 2 B a TN Vol...you must be refering to the Fulmer years. Firing him has definitely worked out for us...

Maybe it was but no need in living in the past. He was fired and is never coming back so all we can do is get behind the current coach and give him and the players the support they deserve.

I am behind the current coach. I watch every game and go to the games I can make it to. Being a TN Vol is still great...it just takes more drinking and a blind eye or two. :birgits_giggle:

I miss Fulmer. 99% of his run was probably the greatest time to be a TN Vol. I don't think we would have sunk so low as to have 3 or 4 consecutive losing seasons had he remained but I think his time had passed. I hate the way his ouster was handled and it's been stated many times on this board, the following hires have been the problem since he's been gone. We have a real football coach now. It will get better.

Through it all, it never stopped being great to be a TENNESSEE VOL!

We'll be back boys and girls. Butch keeps recruiting like he is we'll be in good shape in a couple of years.
