Help explain why he still gets as many minutes as he does. You fill in the blank.

Renaldo Woolridge can _________ really well.

He's a big body, he's athletic and we have no other option. Honestly, people need to think before posting.

Honestly you should check his stats line.
3.9 avg a game
3.4 rebounds per game
the last 2 games he has totalled 5 points no 3's and a total of 5 rebounds in 46 minutes of basketball..ya your right i see what he does well....RAP

Regardless, he's our only option.

Renaldo has all the talent that a team could ever desire. He has a 100% effort problem, he takes to many Time-outs on the floor. He should and could be a real dominant force if he would put forth the effort!

I'm really confused with woolridge. Watching his aau and high school tape he is an amazing player. I understand fully how much harder college b ball is than aau or high school but what I don't understand is in high school he was draining 3s left and right from nba range. How does shooting a wide open 3 in college differ from shooting a wide open 3 from nba range in hs? It almost looks like he doesn't try. I remember when we landed hopson and woolridge and after watching tape I was more excited about woolridge than hopson. It just puzzles me that we have 2 b ball players with great potential that just haven't really panned out yet. They consistently miss wide open shots and woolridge never seems to drive hard and take it to the rim. He is 6'8 and not a bad ball handler for that height. He needs to take it to the hoop and when he doesnt, I wish he would shoot the outside shot like I know he is capable of doing.

He needs to stay in or around the paint, and look for garbage opportunities and use his body. He is not a pure shooter and should not be put in the position to take a 15+ ft jump shot. He gets a little separation from a defender and instead of trying to make a move, he rushes up a shot. When he does get the ball around the perimeter, I wish he would make a fake and take it to the hoop. He then could pass it to Chism or someone else who actually knows what to do with it....

Renaldo Woolridge can _Make a layup in traffic as opposed to Stevie Pearl, who is the other option_ really well.

might be a run on sentence the way i phrased it:)

Renaldo Woolridge can become the scape goat of a fan base that doesn't want to face reality, and doesn't understand basketball really well.

Scapegoat? Doesn't understand baketball really well? Really a fanbase that should expect a scholarship player that averages almost 20 minutes a game have a higher scoring average (3.9) than some walk ons. :banghead2:

Woolridge is scholarship player that was suppose to be a great high school & AAU basketball player

He wasnt supposed to be he WAS a great hs and aau player. That is what confuses me about him so much. His dad could dunk with the best of him and renaldo has inherited those hops. He just always seems to try to pull up for a shot instead of taking it to the rim for a lay up or dunk. The kid is a great dunker just like his dad so my question is why doesn't he use his hops and at least try to dunk it. I know he has a smaller frame than alot of the bigs in the paint but he has the height and the hops to take it strong to the rim. When I watch him play, I often wonder if the kid is scared of contact.
