I changed my Jersey number from 0 to 3 because I was number 3 in high school. Whether I have 1 or 2 years left, I'm ready to give my all for Tennessee and finally show everybody what I can really do. Our team and coaching staff is ready to show all the Vol fans that it's not over. It's a new beginning. VOLS

just wanted to see what your reaction was to it

I like the comments, and hope they have a great season. I'm not betting my house on it, but I'd love to be proved wrong.

He has the physical build to be a good 4 in college. He hasn't shown the mental makeup to make it happen. He plays smaller than he is and lacks composure. If he gets down there and bangs around, it would show me something. If he still tries to be a guard, I'd rather not see him on the court.

Yeah at this point I find it hard to believe he'll ever seriously contribute but would also love to be wrong.

I heard Houston Fancher speak tonight at the big orange caravan in hamilton co. You could tell in the way that he was speaking, in his tone, and in his demeanor, that he knows CCM is VERY serious about bringing us back to relavence, and he also basically admitted that we are really having to fill holes right now, similar to what football had to/is having to do. He also spoke very highly of Renaldo, and especially of Trey Golden. Said Golden is MUCH better, now that he's been put into a starting role, whereas he was second fiddle to Goins all year last season.

Yeah I get what you're saying. I think Dadurker pointed out once that Woolridge was 6'2 in high school at one point, and now he's at least 6'8. That created some problems for him as far as sustaining his previous style of play.

He hasn't really shown any signs on the court, but I like to believe he'll improve since he'll more than likely get substantial playing time.

If I were him, I would focus on basketball. His songs, while not really wack, are mediocre at best.

I agree. Not trying to be a negavol at all, but his songs are just lackluster. He has some serious talent though. I didn't think he had it in him before, but now I think he has the potential to make a living off of music (either rapping/writing or producing). But that's only if he can get some solid guidance and improve everything musically.

What I would like to hear from the young man is to thank his fans who love his music, but inform them that his focus is now 100% on basketball and helping his team compete in the SEC. His music will be there for him in a year or 2 when he is done at Tennessee. The kid is on a basketball ship and that is where his focus should be.

Go Vols!

Swiperboy's statement sounds a little like sour grapes about his PT last year. Maybe he will improve under CCM. It is ultimately up to him and not the coach. Hopefully he will finish his degree because he will not be playing bball after college nor signing big deals with record labels.

Are y'all serious? He should focus on rapping and not picking his number? And his songs are mediocre? Grow up. Yeah his 2 minutes he spent changing his number should have been spent on basketball.(sarcasm). Why is it that every event requires some sort of ridicule? Tobias is staying in the draft: he's not good enough. Scotty stays in the draft: have fun in europe. Woolridge changes his number: his rap sucks and he can't play basketball so he should spend every waking second getting better. Is this **** serious?

Good luck renaldo I hope it motivates you further.

To clarify: i do think Scotty and Tobias could benefit from another year, however, I sincerely pull for them in their endeavors. Key word: sincerely.

No need to respond I already know the rebuttal. "I'm a realist". Heres to you mr know it all. /rant.

Apologies. Had to get it out.

Dude was given zero chances last season even though he was apparently outworking guys in practice so I don't mind seeing similar comments to the last offseason. I've always liked Renaldo's attitude and I hope he's able to contribute this year.

Mocking his music? Honestly? Have you heard any mainstream hip hop? If anything he has a head start on a career in music.

I wish him all the success in rhyming to a beat after he is done with college basketball. No...Bone outworked people in practice. Learn to play a different position more suited to your skill set and you will get a chance. Oh yeah that and occasionally make a 3 pointer you throw up if you want to hang out at the arc.

It's called criticism. No one was making fun of his music, but some people here on VN (not you) know some things about music and were pointing out the obvious. I've said nothing but positive things about Renaldo, his game, and his music. Just because I can recognize his weaknesses doesn't mean that I hate the guy.

With his talents right now, he has no business making a substantial amount of money off the music industry in any fashion. But I definitely see the potential. His music is just lame right now. It has no appeal to anyone except his friends and Vol fans. I have no reason to believe that he can't improve though. His family is pretty loaded, so I'm sure he can afford some quality guidance.

Here's the issue: it is brought up for no reason but to ridicule him. It serves you or anyone else no purpose to call out his musical talents/abilities. Why do it? Just one more thing to bash him about? Since joining VN I've noticed how Tennessee fans are so quickly judgmental and use irrelevant subjects to judge. Who starts a rumor about Milton in jail? It's just built up with me and I had to get it out. I'm not singling you out at all and I don't mean to imply such things. I would like to see a thread of support for a young man that his sweating, training and possibly bleeding for UT. But everytime that is attempted we see the obligatory shot at the kid by half of the posters. Just grinds my gears. Again not directed to you but to the half of the people that do it.
