The students, fans, alumni, and state of Tennessee deserve better leadership than Mike Hamilton has given. A proud, rich, football tradition that will take a few years to rebuild and possibly more if Dooley is not the right guy. Bruce Pearl may weather the storm and has done good for the basketball program.....but he has at the least put the school in a negative way and could be fired if the NCAA comes down hard. Hamilton has the job of PR for the programs and has been terrible at that.
Who would the fans and supporters like to see if he would be terminated?

Please let it be someone who is currently running or has previously ran a nationally prominent AD program and been successful at it. Someone who has proven they can get the job done beyond raising money. I've heard they should give the fundraising job to Fulmer. I think they should give that job to Hamilton, and hire an AD who can hire and manage successful, yet proven coaches who don't have to cheat to recruit.

Anyone but Fulmer

We need someone with proven experience running an Athletic Department. We cannot withstand anymore experiments here at UT. So, no, not Fulmer. I am a fan of his, but only for the positive things he did for UT football. We paid him for his services and are not obligated to him any more. I think Fulmer should be Vandy's next football coach, but that's an entirely different thread for an entirely different wall.

There's no denying it. Tennessee athletics has become a mess under Hamilton. Coaches hired during his watch include Tood Raleigh (2 losing seasons of baseball), Lane Kiffin (you know how that ended), and Dooley (the jury is still out, but lots of bad vibes being felt). He did hire Pearl, who's a great coach but may soon be fired for misbehavior.

So yes, the Board, the President, the Chancellor, whoever is his boss, needs to send Hamilton packing. It's important to have a new AD in place if/when Dooley finishes his 3 years and the Vols are no better than today. The new AD needs to be a guy who is familiar with SEC football. His initials should not be P.F., if for no other reason than the fact that his record of hiring assistant coaches (e.g., Sanders, Clawson) was truly dismal.
