Report: Mark Stoops to be named Kentucky's next football coach

UK interviews Mark Stoops, DC, Florida State, for their head coaching position. Stoops defense leads the country allowing only 2.3 yards per carry and 236 yards per game. I think this could be a great hire for them.

Hopefully rules out Dumbo as well. Not sure he would want to come in right away and beat his former suboordinate like a drum every year, or vice versa (if Stoops would be in on it).

We get a defensive minded coach, something kentucky desperately needs in the sec and a coach who has ties in florida, always a great hs talent source.

Good hire imo Stoops,Dykes and Taggart are the few guys who could win 7 games a year at Ky. He'll get solid 3 and 4 star players out of Fla, Memphis, L'ville, Ohio and other midwest cities. If he brings Dj Eliot and Hudson from FSU he has the blueprint for a solid D. Going to need to hire an OC who can be creative or someone with spread background to score some points.
