Helen Thomas in the morning... Christ. I am going to have to find a way to retaliate for that one, Voldad.

what suprised me too is that she said something to the affect that she's never seen an administration so closed when it comes to questions as this one. that includes the Bush admin and she hated Bush.

I am surprised to see the tough questions being asked. I won’t hold my breath that any such criticism is uttered from the mainstream media.

"In the stage-managed event, questions for Obama came from a live audience selected by the White House and the college, and from Internet questions chosen by the administration's new-media team. Of the seven questions the president answered, four were selected by his staff from videos submitted to the White House Web site or from those responding to a request for "tweets."

The president called randomly on three audience members. All turned out to be members of groups with close ties to his administration: the Service Employees International Union, Health Care for America Now, and Organizing for America, which is a part of the Democratic National Committee. White House officials said that was a coincidence. "

i saw them criticizing him about this on the evening news. they had some lady in the audience start tearing up and crying that she can't afford healthcare, i found it hilarious, bc she ended up being someone who was working for him on the healthcare issue

If Helen freaking Thomas is saying this about a Democratic administration then we don't have just smoke...we've already got some fire.

Nixon didn’t try to do that. They couldn’t control [the media]. They didn’t try that. What the hell do they think we are, puppets? They’re supposed to stay out of our business. They are our public servants. We pay them. ... I’m not saying there has never been managed news before, but this is carried to fare-thee-well--for the town halls, for the press conferences. It’s blatant. They don’t give a damn if you know it or not. They ought to be hanging their heads in shame.

Ahhhh.... the American spirit is still alive and well. It's good to see...

I felt bad for Gibbs. He needs to be replaced. He isn't sharp enough to ad lib and think on his feet.

George W. can run intellectual circles around Robert Gibbs.

Poor Gibbs he has to constently cover for Obama's constent attempts to put on a dog and pony show for Americans and manipulate the press. it must be really bad for the press to turn against him.

It was only a matter of time for the press to turn on them. The press have egos and massively inflated senses of worth.

Is America awakening? For the beloved one to be called into question is a huge step toward BHO's exposure.

Controlling the media is a socialist/communist thing to do.
