Romney finishing third.

In both.

1) religious intolerance

2) disenchantment with Romney still a huge problem

3) GOP nomination remains uncertain

Exit polls do show that the religious right don't like Romney. But that could be just as much his social conservatism as his religion. I'd say both, and it's killing the party. The party will struggle to attract independents and moderates (or most young people) as long as frothy is a figure in it.

To be honest, Romney wasn't expected to win; then looked like he had a chance; then ended up in virtual tie for second.

The real bad news out of Alabama is that Roy "10 Commandments" Moore won the R primary for Supreme Court Justice. I'll definitely be voting for whoever the D candidate is in the general election.
