Today the light came on for this girl. The last 5 minutes of the game you would have thought she was a senior. I was totally impressed by her play under pressure. She demonstrated no fear of the moment. I think her future is a lot brighter than I thought at first.

I thought it interesting that, while Russell was considered the number 1 prospect, Jordan was the Oregon player of the year. Very glad to have them both.

I have been very impressed with both Jordan and Mercedes the last few games. They're really starting to step up. You can tell they're both starting to settle into their roles and that things are really starting to click for them. Bright futures ahead for both.

I was very impressed by Reynolds this afternoon. We saw a glimpse of what she's capable of.

Jordan Reynolds was absolutely the steal of this class! I'm not sure why she was ranked as low as she was, although it might simply have been that she wasn't as active in AAU ball as some of the higher ranked players.

If Alexa Middleton and/or Kortney Dunbar turn out as well as young Miss Reynolds, it will say a tremendous amount about the ability of this staff to recognize and evaluate talent.

just like the men's team when they don't depend on one player (McRae) and play as team they are great.

We don't win that game without Reynolds. I thought Carter was our point guard for the future but Reynolds handled the UK pressure and moved the ball better than Carter yesterday. It looks like Reynolds is the real deal. The future is bright and getting brighter.

That's a good point. Izzy was not a particularly highly touted player coming into UT. All the focus was on Ariel and Burdick but look who was the SEC tournament player last night and the player this team looks to for the big shot. That's not to say that Ariel or Burdick aren't great players - they are, but Izzy has come a long way and really blossomed into a stand out player with still the rest of this season and all of next season to go.

It wasn't just yesterday. It was the whole tournament. She will be the star of this team next year. Mark my words. Her and Harrison.

She was a top 25 player (Harrison) but not a top 5 but those rankings aren't always true. She has great genes and she can sky. Plus she wasn't completely dedicated to basketball growing up so she's a late bloomer.

On Reynolds. I've felt Holly should have been playing her more all year because I felt she was underrated. It was an ironic blessing for her that Massengale went down and for the team but please don't misconstrue I wish ill will on anyone. It was just turning a bad situation into something even more positive but I wish Massengale a full recovery because she will be a big part of the team next year if she is able.

It's a testament to Izzy's work ethic and proper coaching.

And good genes doesn't hurt either.

Her defense has kept her off the court this year, but offensively she has been good for most of the season.

She has the highest arc on her shot I have ever seen. With that arc and her height it will be hard to keep her from getting a shot off.

When opposing coaches get a book on her, you will be saying she isn't SEC level. :(

I remember Hopson for the men's team. The arc on his shot was way too high and he had to take some of the arc off his shot to increase accuracy. Often, too much arc is to good.

B.S. It's been more than one game. She played lights out in the SEC tourney. If you watched her the whole time she was on the floor, you would understand the girl has game. I don't think there will be any heartbreak with this one.
