Rich Rod loses 25 players at WVU

That is absurd. I've been wondering if the NCAA deliberately set the portals up like they have to prove a point about NIL. It makes no logical sense to have two portals, and the timing of the portals make no sense either. Basketball's portal opens up in the middle of the NCAAT? Footballs portal opens up during the playoffs? Then football has another portal after spring practice?

49 players to the portal since he was hired.....

I know Rich Rod is a bit of an "acquired taste", but I doubt he did a Deion.

Gotta figure 60% of them or so will not find a home. Think I would have at least stuck around and gotten by degree and let WVU pay for it lol.

He’s broughtv in over 30 and an additional 18 freshman. It’s by design

One of the biggest “What ifs” I can think of. And it was all because his wife didn’t want to move to Tuscaloosa.
I’ve always wondered what would have happened if Saban had stayed in Miami for the 2007 season. The Dolphins were going to be bad no matter who the coach was, so 2007 likely would have been his final season in the NFL. If he had jumped right back into college, he most likely would have ended up at Michigan or Nebraska. If he decided to sit out a year, he would have been available when Hamilton fired Fulmer. Not saying he would’ve been the coach, but damn, just the possibility of him being the UT coach and us avoiding the 10+ years of disaster after disaster makes my heart hurt.

Our administration at the time lacked the intellectual bandwidth to hire a coach like Saban.

Our administration at that time was only concerned with going to the dance with the prettiest girl on campus.
At that time, it was Lane Kiffin.
Little did they know the prettiest girl on campus was also the campus s!&t, very high maintenance, and a total basket case.

Then in true form, after being spurned by the prettiest girl, the administration settled on the 'girl just like mom' and well, that usually ends up badly too since she never stands up to the comparison of Mom...rest is just a comedy of misses and bad dates.
