For the record, it' not just Richmond, it's rare now to see a decent race. Congrats to Kyle for winning but I crave seeing guys beating and banging each other as they cross the finish line rather than a guy crossing it 3 seconds before the rest of the field.

Great side by side racing, drivers coming through the field and passing those with older tires. My drivers' did awful, but that doesn't take away from one of the most entertaining races of the year.

True, but man is the Busch Bow getting old.

Think I'll watch some SNL to cheer me up.

Just can't please some people. That's some of the best racing you're gonna see in the series. With this new car, that's as good as it will get, and it wasn't all that bad. Other than Kyle stinking it up at the end, the racing was excellent.

I think alot of people base the quality of racing on how well their favorite driver did.:whistling:
The cameras didn't stay on Busch or any of the other leaders that had big leads a whole lot. There was racing all over the track. I would have loved to be in the stands watching. I wouldn't say that it was the best racing of the year but it was up there. There were so many comers and goers all night. Diffrent cars on diffrent strategies put fast cars in the back and slower cars in the front throughout the race. I enjoyed it.

I agree with this poster, pretty darn good racing except for no close finish for 1st. There was a lot of positions changed the rest of the way back. A track I would like to go to.

Just proves you cannot please everyone, and that different sets of eyes see different things.

I am "really" picky when it comes to races I like anymore. However, this race last night IMO only was what NASCAR is supposed to be all about. Yes, I thought it was going to be total crap on that long green run they got at the first of the race. After that though they really started racing harder and harder and was beating the proverbial tar out of one another all race long.

You are going to have plenty of mad drivers at Darlington next week so I hope the physicality continues next weekend as well. I too was hoping for a caution with about 20 laps to go to see what might have happened. I'm one of the few people that are probably not really for or against Kyle Busch for the most part. I think he whines way too much when something goes wrong but on the other hand he's proving that he is the most talented driver on the track on the other.

So the finish of the race was a bit anticlimactic but I have to say I was very pleased with the actual RACING they were doing for once. They didn't care to stick their cars in there hard and beat and bang with smoke and sheet metal flying. My dad was watching it with me and he even said, "man, this is a good race. I'm not used to seeing this from these guys."

I'd personally give this race about an 8.5 out of 10. I can only hope they keep this momentum up going into Darlington next week.

I've said it before, but, I'm not a fan of Kyle Busch. However, the way that he embraces being the enemy and his detest of finishing 2nd is something that I love about him.

I thought we saw a lot of side-by-side racing, maybe not at the front, but through the field. That happens when a guy just hits on it, gets out front, and leaves everyone. It's the nature of the sport these days. Even saw some three-wide racing that didn't turn out so well for some. Wasn't happy with the ending but at least Denny the Prick didn't end up out front.
