heard on a local station he may be consider UNC. coach for 3 or 4 years, then move over to the A.D. spot. apparently has some north carolina ties.

Is Penn State ever going to hire a coach? Had heard Richt's name associated with them as well.

GA fans don't appreciate this guy. I hope he leaves and they get a little taste of what we have had over the past 3 years.

Here it comes Volnation get ready for the rumor mill Richt to Texas AM , Dooley to UGA. This rumor will be as predictable as the sun coming up. I will hang up and listen. Start the fun in 1,2,3.......

He is not leaving voluntarily. If he did leave, there is no way you can say UGA will be in the condition we were in when Dooley was hired. GA is pretty well stocked with good players for whoever would take over. They might lose some recruits if he made a move before signing day, but they have a pretty good base of players and depth right now.

So much like fulmers last years, except we didn't get clobbered in the sec championship game. If ga would have played ark, bama and lsu, they would have gone 7-5.

Richt is in a win-win situation. He's been at UGA for a long time. A change may breathe some new life into him. Texas A&M is a sleeping giant that could be dominating-good.

My thoughts exactly, fade. The "Dooley to UGA" rumors are about as funny as things have gotten here. Working in NW GA, I can honestly say that some of the fans here really think he would leave UT for UGA. Pure :loco:, they are.

Richt to A&M would be good for us but will not happen. Maybe A&M should hire 'the right reverend' reject from ARK & UM...lol

First, I would be SHOCKED if CMR leaves UGA.

But, I believe every man has his price. I would want our AD to be competitive but responsible too.

Last, there is no way that UGA would go after Dooley, maybe if every other coach in the country said no. Dooley to UGA would be the biggest shocker.

It is being reported that Mark Richt and Georgia began contract extension discussions this morning.
