What is the 2011 employment status of Mark Richt? What's the latest? Are the Dawgs still calling for this head?

Havnt heard any rumblings of him getting fired, but if Miami offered, Georgia fans would not be sad to see him go.

Miami can't pay him anywhere near what UGA can.

Not that Richt will have a choice if he has another season like this one.

No rumblings down here. They are still on their high horse after beating "The Nerds". Did anyone see them at then end of the game? With a towel that said "We own this state". Congratulations, UGA, you beat Tech. There are several high school teams that could've done the same.

Blog: Richt on Miami job and staff changes
3blog, footballBY: Marc Weiszer | Nov 28 2010
Some quick items from Georgia coach Mark Richt’s Sunday evening teleconference:

–On his name being mentioned as a possible candidate at Miami, where he played quarterback: “I don’t think it will be a distraction because I’ve got the same answer for that as I had for the other one (Colorado). Georgia’s my home and it’s where I want to finish my career.

–Asked if he’s been approached by Miami or would entertain it if he were, Richt said he has not been.

Pressed again if he would entertain talking about the job with Miami, he said: “Just like I’ve been saying, men, Georgia’s my home and that’s where I want to be. I don’t think you’ve got to go any farther than that.”

Richt said he fully expects to be Georgia’s coach next season. “Absolutely.”

–On whether he is considering any changes to his staff now. “Am I considering changes on the staff? No.”

–On whether fan criticism of offensive coordinator Mike Bobo was a bit unfair. “All I can say, if I’m not mistaken, we broke some kind of school record of consecutive games of over 30 points and a lot of really good things happened offensively. The bottom line is whoever calls plays is going to get critiqued, they’re going to get criticized. It’s just the nature of the beast.”

Richt said playcallers are bound to get criticized at every level, whether it’s the NFL, high school or pee-wee football.

–Asked if barring anything unforeseen, he wants Bobo to be the playcaller going forward, Richt said: “Yes.”
