Rick Stansbury/Jamont Gordon

In an interview on Knoxville radio today, MSU Coach Rick Stansbury stated that Jamont Gordon would have gone to UT if Buzz Peterson had been retained as coach. Am I the only one who reads this as Stansbury attempting to undermine Bruce Pearl? Stansbury has to know that a healthy program at UT makes his recruiting that much tougher. I don't think anyone who followed Gordon's recruitment actually thinks he would have ever attended Tennessee.

Stansbury is blowing smoke. Gordon's mother absolutely hates UT and they used UT until they got another offer. Those that followed that recruitment knows that MSU was the first concrete offer other than UT and Gordon took it as soon as Stansbury offered it.
