(1) Ohio State AT (2) Texas 31 14
(3) Auburn AT Mississippi State 38 7
(19) Penn State AT (4) Notre Dame 20 17
Eastern Washington AT (6) West Virginia 6 42
UCF AT (7) Florida 10 47
Arizona AT ( 8 ) LSU 14 35
Troy AT (9) Florida State 3 41
Central Michigan AT (10) Michigan 7 34

(12) Georgia AT South Carolina 21 24
(13) Louisville AT Temple 28 10
(14) Iowa AT Syracuse 34 20
Washington AT (15) Oklahoma 17 27
(16) Virginia Tech AT North Carolina 24 7
Florida A&M AT (17) Miami 10 41
( 18 ) Clemson AT Boston College 19 13
(20) Oregon AT Fresno State 28 17
Nicholls State AT (21) Nebraska 3 55
Minnesota AT (22) California 17 24

Utah State AT Arkansas 7 20
Colorado AT Colorado State 14 28
Wyoming AT Virginia 13 31

(1) Ohio State AT (2) Texas : 31-14

Ohio State goes down to Texas and whips the defending National Champions. Texas, coming off of a impressive victory over Northeast Polynesian Tech or something like that, still has a raw QB and he will be tested by a smashmouth Ohio State defense. Ohio State will outpace Texas, outplay Texas, and kick the Longhorns rear end right in front of the home faithful.

(19) Penn State AT (4) Notre Dame: 20-17

Another upset pick here, and another team beating the home team. Penn State beats Notre Dame in South Bend this weekend because of a good defensive effort combined with some good play by QB Anthony Morelli and wideout Derrick Williams.

Air Force AT (11) Tennessee: 17-41

Air Force will come into Neyland ready to play. This is a team that averaged well over 30 points last year even though they went 4-7. The problem is they gave up nearly 40 points per game. Tennessee's offense is clicking and I don't think the coaches will allow them to look past Air Force. UT's defense will step up again this weekend and create some turnovers and help the offense out. Ainge will go about 17-27 for 290 and UT will get nearly 200 yards worth of rushing offense as the Vols cruise past Air Force and into the big game next weekend against Florida.

(12) Georgia AT South Carolina : 21-24

South Carolina, at home, stuns the Dawgs. It will be a tooth and nail SEC showdown in Columbia but the Gamecocks will be ready to play and fired up in front of the home field crowd. South Carolina lost by 4 at home in 2004, lost by 2 last year in 2005, and this year they will turn it around and take home a win that has dodged them the past two seasons. Spurrier got Florida and Tennessee last season - he'll get Georgia this year.

What are you smoking? USC over UGA?!?!

At least those middle two look realistic enough...

I just noticed:

Ole Miss 28
at
Missouri 14

Missouri is the better team and at home. I think all of the others are okay, even S. Carolina over UGA. I don't think you're going to be right, but SC has a chance.

 I missed that too.

I think Vandy will play Alabama closer than that.

Purdue will give up at least 4 TDs to Miami of Ohio.

If Arkansas can only put 20 points up on Utah State with their running game, there's something badly wrong.

I can see those others happening.

i dont think v tech beats north carolina by 17, north carolina is improved and v tech is overrated (as usual). washington making it fairly close v. oklahoma is about right. I think UTEP plays Tech closer than 20, and BC is one of my upset picks (if you can really call it an upset). I agree with you on Penn St. and Ohio St. though. oh yeah, and i think cal waxes minnesota, for the record.

No, UNC hasn't improved. They were 5.5 point favs at home against Rutgers, and I almost pulled the trigger on the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers won by 5. VT wins by 16+.

Washington only beat SJSU by 6, and while OU probably won't cover the 17, they'll win easily.

UTEP DOES play TT closer than 20, but loses by more than 7.

I like BC, too. Ryan is questionable though for the game.

OSU and PSU games are both toss ups, IMO.

Cal won't wax anyone of merit unless Nate Longshore can release the ball.

i'm also of the mind that rutgers has a decent squad this year. i did pick them to win that game. i don't think north carolina is vastly improved mind you, but improved nonetheless. i also dont think v tech is a good enough squad to beat any conference opponent, outside of duke and wake forest, by 16 points.

So we agree on about half of it. I can certainly see where you are coming from on the OSU and PSU games, I just have a feeling Ohio St. takes it in that one. PSU is a harder pick but i think Joe Pa has the boys ready to play, and don't get me wrong, G Tech has a good defense but if they can hold ND to 14, you have to like a better defense in PSU (even though ND will probably have a better game offensively. They will certainly be able to keep it close. I see it going 27-20 one way or the other.

.

Actually they gave up 31.7 points a game last season and lost 5 games by 3 points or less. So the 4-7 was a couple field goals and TD's away from 7-4. They averaged something like 30.1 points a game. The downfall in there 2005 campaign was the Turnover ratio I believe it was in the mid teens on the minus side. I'm not 100% sure on that last one, but I've read many quotes of DeBerry's saying that was the X factor in 2005.

Wake will end the season better than UNC, write it down. :p

As of right now, GT has a better defense than PSU. Penn State has the best LB, but are very questionable at DL and DB.

My thoughts exactly. I think it will be close but our special teams and D wins the game.

UGA is not as good as they have been the last few years. They are not very good on offense. I will pick them to get upset before the season is over, but it wont happen against USC. Did you see the Miss State game?

I see Ohio State beating Texas but only because Texas's QB, Colt McCoy, is young and will crap his pants in a big game.....USC over UGA I could see happening because they almost beat UGA last year between the Hedges......That will be a slobber knocker...I agree with the Penn State game, I'd love for Penn State to expose the Domers for what they are....OVERRATED
