Has any one heard if he will be starting or just getting backup time...Hopeing this kid could be the next "Al Wilson"

from what I've gathered it looks like the starting 3 LB's are Mitchell, Karl, and Mayo....but I think McCoy will be a starter before the season is over. Too good of a player to be on the bench

I don't think he was suspended for a game...not 100% sure

He was punished but not suspended for any games.

I thought for sure that McCoy would end up taking Karl's place. But, every indicatoin is that Karl is nowhere near close to giving up his spot. He is the most fundamental LB and the best tackler among the LB's. He is also smart and plays with intensity. So, I think as the season progresses that McCoy will actually get most of his time at OLB with Mayo moving to MLB to spell Mitchell. Mitchell has shaky knees and is the slowest LB. Right now he provides much needed experience and leadership. But, I think as the season wears down and McCoy and Mayo get more experience and prove they can play a lot of snaps they will push into Mitchell's snaps instead of Karl's snaps.

I'm surprised too, but the the boy with the light complexion is all over the field. Fulmer says he sheds blocks better than anyone he's ever seen, and that's very important for a LB. Plus, he's very good in pass coverage.
