Riggs named starter against Ole Miss

Given Riggs's performance as of late, I think he deserves it. Nothing against Cedric, he's had some good games, but I just don't think he's ever hinted that he's our "break-out" man. Given the Ole Miss D, they might BOTH pick up a 100-yarder tomorrow. Here's the Rebel Rushing Yards allowed per game thus far:

Memphis 126
Alabama 221
Vandy 181
Wyoming 158
Arkansas State 151
S.C. 142

I agree that it is about time. Houston is going through his usual swoon once we hit the SEC schedule. Riggs is still looking good. He's earned it.

I agree with that. He looked good against us. Anyone that puts the century mark on our D is definatley the real deal.

GoooOOOOOO DAWGS!

I think he deserves it. He has finnaly grasped the idea that a running back has to be better than just great moves. they have to pass block as well.

I have always backed Houston but i agree. Riggs deserves the start, good for him. Those Ole Miss D numbers are starting to get me pumped!

Riggs has finally grown up and attending classes and doing the right things off the field as well as on the field

I'm for all our RBs, however why sell Ced out so early? Ced still leads the team in YPC 5.8 vs. 5.2. He has the longest run of the season at 37 yards, and has 9 fewer carries than Riggs (I betcha didn't know that). To Ced's credit, he has had ankle problems that were noticeable in the GA game which prevent him from making cuts. This guy has been with us through some lean years, let him go out with class.

It's just one start, they haven't given up on Ced.IMO
They move in and out so much i don't think it will matter.
Ced may be hurting and may need some relief.
