Major domestic infringements, by the Federal Government, during the 8 years of Clinton:
Siege and seizure of the Branch Davidian compound. Timothy McVeigh is motivated to attack the Alfred P. Murrah building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 Americans.

Siege and seizure of the Gonzales home in Miami, Fl. 8 year old Elian Gonzales is deported to Cuba and is exploited by Castro for power.

...During the 8 years of GWB:
Library books are monitored

The writ of habeas corpus, a privilege not a right, is not extended to enemy combatants captured in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The Federal Government monitors international phone calls and international monetary transactions.

You just don't get it. The Patriot Act has DESTROYED all of our civil rights!

I guess you could add Ruby Ridge to the list but that occurred in the Fall of 92 under GHWB.

I interpret it as demonstrating selective outrage along political affiliation lines.

wouldn't the library books be the property of the government? if so, then wouldn't they have the right to monitor books?

do we want habeas corpus given to our enemies that don't even wear uniforms?
