Wonder if he will redshirt, or compete? Sorry if talked about already, just seen alot on worely and peterman, not much on him.

It could go either way. If Riley gets live game reps in 2013, that would mean 2 hurt qbs. Riley should redshirt so he could be a starter in the future.

I have to agree with some of the above. If he is playing in 2013 it's because of 2 injuries or major flops ahead of him. I'd think we'd use him if we had to, but only if we had to. Dooley didn't exactly load up the minibar, but he at least stocked the cupboards with necessities.

I think CBJ will make it an open competition for all the QB's on the roster, but I think in the end Worley and Peterman will be our 1 and 2 and Ferguson will RS.

Riley Ferguson? QB evaluations will begin in the spring, so who ever Jones thinks will give us the best chance to win will play....now with that said, I think Worley has the edge because of expierience....it's a new year with new hope

not to worry about our starting QB yet. CBJ will make evaluations at the O&W game this spring & in the August camp. Whatever he decides best for the team & future of progress is just fine with me....I have no concerns cause I know he knows what's good for our TN football team. Just win, baby.

Do you think the best qb should be on the field freshman or not

Without a doubt the best qb should play , regardless of class !!!! We need to win and win quickly. That is the best recruiting tool we have !!! For years we have needed an all purpose quarterback. One that can walk and chew gum at the same time. Forget just a drop back passer. We need one willing to get a first down on his own by running. Plenty of them available !!!! Tajh Boyd comes to mind...........The one begging to come to Tenn and Kiffin told him to get lost. BS !!!!

Actually we had cam newton committed for about 8 months till Kiffin told him to look elsewhere because he didn't fit the system Kiffin wanted to run. And that same coaching staff told the honey badger he was too small for the SEC.

I think Worley might get the short end on this one because he is not as mobile as Peterman or Ferguson. I think Petermen will be the starter, but they will have to prove they deserve it on the field.

None of that about cam newton is correct.

I dont think it will be based on talent initially. I dont believe Riley is an Early Entry so he wont get to compete in spring. It may be too hard to win the job in fall so i would put my money on redshirt.

I think the best players should always play regardless or not if they are a freshman. However, I think most would agree that if we have to rely on too many freshmen, that is a big problem. With the OL we have returning, i think our offense will be just fine. The defense on the other hand, well..........

I think we lay a big orange turd next year. For the past 4 years I thought we were going to get better and didn't so I keeping my expectations down.

Actually, Kiffin wanted Cam Newton. But he was out of his element and did not want to expose himself in the SEC bidding war.

Ferguson will likely redshirt barring injuries. Sorta like what they did with Peterman this year. Sprinkle in some BearCat with Pig Howard and Peterman, and you have an offense.
