If he is that good, he will go straight draft. He cannot get the NIL deals that it would take to get him to go to college in US.
Please no….
VandySports - Rintaro Sasaki, the No. 1 Japanese prospect, "eyeing Vanderbilt"
Rintaro Sasaki is the No. 1 high school prospect in Japan and attends the same high school as Shohei Ohtani.vanderbilt.rivals.com
Japanese player in Louisiana lol what a culture shock for him....West Coast team will get him very large Japanese fan base...that's why Ohtani chose to play in California...
Article posted in Dugout forum..about how California and Vanderbilt have inside track on this guy...Corbin been on him for a while ....Any ideas on where that would be?
ASU is no longer a power.
Arizona, maybe.
I can't really see a school like Long Beach/Fullerton/Irvine/Pepperdine landing this type of prospect, but anything is possible.
Oregon/Oregon State? Might be too cold.
USC? Not very good
UCLA? I could see this being a contender.
Stanford? This has to be the top West Coast choice.
Though, I wonder how much he wants to come to the SEC to "prove himself" so to speak after facing mid-talent in Japan.
I have heard that he is projected but has not faced the stuff that most HS guys here in the states face in the summer. Many believe that he will not be able to make the jump. He may not be as hot as many are saying.
