I lost my best friend for 12 years today.
I had to put him down today due to kidney failure.

My neighbor had to put his best friend, and Arty's down 3 days ago. This week can't get a lot worse.

RIP little buddy.

He was a damn good dog. He had 3 other dogs to share his life with too. This came up on him suddenly yesterday. Took to vet this morning, he said he wouldn't last 3 months with treatments. He didn't act like he was in pain, but I could tell by looking at him last night and this morning he wasn't "right"

I couldn't let him suffer any longer. Crushed.

Love the name origin. I know it's too soon for a replacement (and they'll never be a replacement) but there's likely to be a ton of Harvey dogs that need a good home - maybe Arty can live on through one of them.
