Furman Bisher died today at 93. He was a long-time sports writer for the Atlanta Journal & Constitution (AKA Atlanta Urinal & Constipation). He was a great writer and wrote about all sports. His insight into the fall football season and sports in general was always right along side the Knoxville legend, Tom Siler. They both could tell stories for days without repeating a thing!

Greatest sports writer I ever read. And the man hated Bear Bryant, I think he died believing that he helped fix that game.

Selah, RIP

He was wrong, but such is life. He really was a fantastic writer. You could almost see the game through his words.

I am shocked that even 10% on VN are old enough to know who he is/was. Seems like on VN, even the 90's are prehistoric.
