RIP JR Richard

I just barely remember J.R. Richard. Just remember it seemed like he struck out every single batter he faced.

I didn't remember that he had a stroke in 1980. If my math is correct, he would have been 30 at the time

Houston Astros icon J.R. Richard, whose career was cut short by stroke in 1980, dies at age 71 (espn.com)
I remember him. He was on his way to having a damn good career. I gotta go Google because I was only 6 or 7 back then, but didn't he have a heart attack during a game?

Edit:

Less than a month after starting the All-Star Game, Richard was playing catch during pregame drills inside the Astrodome when he suffered the stroke that ended his career at age 30.
