That’s very sad, prayers for his family. Would someone share what he was doing that was so commendable after his administrative career? (If that sounded sarcastic that’s not my intention, I just don’t know and a google search didn’t turn anything up)
Hamilton did good things here at UT. His resurrection of men's basketball was a hell of an accomplishment. It's mostly the Fulmer loyalists who were highly critical of himFrom the Football Forum - liver transplant/late stage cancer.
He was our President Jimmy Carter. Did good things after leaving his job.
In my opinion the Dooley hire should have been an interim move to put Kippy Brown at the helm and go from there, Kiffen bolted after USC was down to their 7th or 8th choice, with NCAA infractions and probation coming, it wasn't a dream job for most.
Hiring out of sequence and picking from a very thin set of options in January 2010 was a disaster that was very hard to recover from, took the long arm and reach of the NCAA to watch the administration up over there in February 2020 to realize the place was headed for the river.
