RIP Roger Ebert

I used to love that TV show he was on in the late 70's "At the Movies" or close to it. His partner on that show died what 10-15 years ago? Going to miss these dudes cause I always looked forward to hearing their reviews on the movies & about the actors in those movies. They will be missed for sure. RIP Roger Ebert. :) EDIT: That TV show was called "Sneak Previews" & his partner was Gene Siskel.

I've always liked his reviews and used his reviews more than others to determine whether or not I would take time to see a movie in a theater or wait for it on DVD.

He and Siskel were excellent together. He and Richard Roeper not so much.

As for who could fill his shoes, nobody. However, I would love to see Nikki Finke do some reviews. Her live blogging the Oscars lifts snarkiness to an art.

Used to love to hate this guy.

He didn't like anything I thought was going to be good and trashed everything I had already seen. He alone is the singular reason I DO NOT read critical reviews by anyone today. I have lived movie happy because of the gift of not liking critics so I can thank him for that.

Two thumbs down...:bad: :bad:

R.I.P.

Has Bam Margera weighed in yet? I remember some kind of twitter controversy regarding Ebert when Adam Dunn died. Didn't he and Bam have words on twitter?

Ryan Dunn was his name. :good!:

The exchanged words because Ebert made some snarky comment about being a Jackass. It was probably out of line and Bam admitted to being on a drinking binge.
