Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Ask Jamie: How well did Kiffin recruit?

Has some interesting stuff, nothing new though. Sorry if this has been posted already. I didn't see it anywhere else.

Over the next two visit weekends, Tennessee is going to load up on some talented prospects, and you would think a prospect or two of the four- or five-star variety will pick Tennessee. Keep a close eye on players such as wide receivers Marlon Brown, Alshon Jeffery and Patrick Patterson, offensive lineman Peter White, defensive end Sam Montgomery and cornerback Janzen Jackson.

You will see the Vols and their recruiting efforts soar in the long term, and I expect Tennessee to become a major force in recruiting once again.

I agree in the long term we will be a recruiting force again. I was in nashville for the coaching conference. I was hearing a lot of coaches talking about how Tennessee will be back on top in 3 to 4 years.

Jackson is the most hopeful out of the three...we've got better than a shot in the dark with him

He's a little off on Patterson, White, and Jackson though. We've got about 0 chance on all of them.

Why are we out of it with White? New article on Rivals says we are in his final three with Miami and Maryland. I'd say that is a lot better than a 0% chance...

He's basically eliminated Miami I believe, and everything he's saying is about how great Maryland is, how his sister goes there, ..etc. It just isn't looking good at all for us.

Dude, he is visiting Miami on the 30th, and he said he has always dreamed of being recruited by the Canes and has been a fan of them for a long time.

I don't think he will end up there b/c of distance, and never having been there before. It would be pretty drastic to visit a place for the first time ever, and then turn around and commit the next 3-4 years of your life to living there.

I believe we are very much in the mix. Also, that article I posted didn't say hardly anything about Maryland.

If we aren't in the mix then we wouldn't be in his most recent final 3. I'm not saying we are the favorite, but I'm also not saying we are out of it by any means.

Then we are screwed.
